You or your group can join in the fun by designing and building a scarecrow to exhibit in The Bates Pumpkin Patch!
Each entry will receive one free jack o’lantern pumpkin and a certificate for participating in the Bates Scarecrow Contest.
All scarecrows will remain on display through October 26th. Winning scarecrows will become the property of Bates Nut Farm and will be added to our Scarecrow Collection.
SCARECROW SPECIFICATIONS: Your scarecrow can be any theme you’d like. A metal post will be provided to support the scarecrow. Builder must provide materials for attaching the scarecrow to the post.
Remember, scarecrows will be on display out-of-doors and subject to all weather conditions, so they should be durable and securely attached.
Please bring your scarecrow and completed registration form between 1pm & 5pm on Friday, October 8rd or before 10am on Saturday, October 10th.

First Place....$200.00 & $50.00 Gift Certificate
Second Place....$150.00 & $25.00 Gift Certificate
Third Place....$100.00 & $25.00 Gift Certificate
Fourth Place....$75.00 Gift Certificate
Gift Certificates are redeemable at Bates or Farmer's Daughter.
